In A Beautiful Mess, Carice van Houten challenges ten Dutch celebrities to become the best fashion stylist in the Netherlands. That's easier said than done, because all the outfits, looks, and styles are created from vintage and secondhand clothing. From donation containers to vintage shops, clothing is everywhere. And what's a hand-me-down for one person is another's source of inspiration. Everything is covered: your grandmother's wardrobe and the hippest shops in Rotterdam. In this competition, the celebrities will have to use all their creativity to win. Forget about new items; the fresh looks in A Beautiful Mess ultimately prove how stylish and valuable repurposing clothing can be.
