Laurence Brown

Laurence Brown has over 30 years’ experience acting for clients in the UK and international film industry.

After reading History and German at St. John's College, Oxford and subsequently doing the conversion to law, Laurence qualified as a Solicitor at the City law firm, Reed Smith LLP, and worked in their Media Group for 10 years before becoming a Partner in the Media Group at Davenport Lyons from 2000 until 2008. Laurence set up his own media law practice in 2008, based in Notting Hill, London. The firm, Laurence Brown Media Limited, specialises in advising on the development, financing, production and distribution of films and related copyright matters.

Laurence was a member of the Executive Committee of the film-makers' organisation, The New Producers Alliance, for ten years. He has been an awards-voting member of BAFTA for 20 years and is a worldwide member of Soho House.
