Biography
Ivan Trilha (São Borja, Brazil – October 28, 2019, Belo Horizonte) was a Brazilian mentalist, writer, and researcher known for his work on the development and potential of the human mind. Active since the 1980s, he published several books and articles on mental training and paranormal phenomena, including O Poder da Mente, and participated in international conferences on parapsychology, among them a congress on paranormality in Bogotá alongside figures such as Uri Geller. After leaving Brazil in 1964 during the political turmoil surrounding the military coup, he lived in Uruguay and later spent nearly three decades in Miami, where he conducted lectures, consultancies, and activities related to extrasensory perception. In addition to his public work as a mentalist, he appeared as himself in El hacedor de milagros (1982) by Julio Neri. In his later years he settled in Belo Horizonte, where he founded the cultural and environmental initiative Na Trilha do Sol and collaborated on the music project Na Trilha das Mandalas. He died at the age of 71 following an accidental head injury.
